Winter style guide #3 - Gifts for him

When it comes to Christmas, finding the perfect present for that special someone isn't always the easiest task.
To help you with this, we've compiled a list of ideas we think will be just right. This week we've got gifts for the guys in your life..

Luckily most men are easy and are more than happy with something entertaining and equally as dangerous. Of course, we don't recommend a death trap so perhaps a skateboard will suit them nicely.
And no Christmas gift is complete without the standard aftershave and socks combo!

Christmas always gives you the chance to kit them out in the best attire possible, we think a vest and bobble hat is a great start. Vests are perfect for layering and they're wearable all year round!

Ashley Young in YB

Unless you've been living under a rock this week, you'll know all about Manchester United's big win against Liverpool on Sunday. Playing the game was Ashley Young who is often seen reppin' Young Britannia. He's particularly a fan of our selection of hats and we can't get enough of how he's colour co-ordinated the detailing on his tee.

You can view our selection of hats HERE and steal Ashley Young's style!

Winter Style Guide #2 - Gift ideas

As part of the second instalment of our Winter Style Guide, we thought it would only be fitting to make it all about gift ideas. The shops are getting busier, the street lights are getting brighter and the red cups of coffee are becoming more frequent. Christmas is definitely around the Corner and to ensure you get your loved ones the perfect present we've compiled a list of presents we think they'd love!

First up is the ladies, now obviously you can't go wrong with the standard perfume and make-up combo, it's expected. The difficult part is knowing which scent they've been eyeing up for a while!
Little stocking fillers like bed socks and pyjamas also go down a treat. Anything that is cosy and enhances a relaxing night in is a winner. Or for the more adventurous ladies in your life, you can't go wrong with a bottle of their favourite beverage.. Christmas is all about the food and alcohol after all!

Christmas is at Winter and every girl will be grateful for something to keep her warm, layers are a must. This year, we think graphic tees under oversized jackets are a Winter must have combination!

And of course, once the joy of Christmas is over you've got the dreaded new year guilt where its time to shift a few pounds and get into shape.. so if you know someone who enjoys more of a practical present, a pair of running trainers always goes down well.

We hope this helps you choose the perfect present for the special ladies in your life… keep your eyes peeled for next weeks instalment all about gift ideas for him.

Winter style guide #1

The mornings are darker than my coffee these days and the frosty surroundings only confirm one thing… Winter is officially here. Luckily that means more layers, earthy colours and hats galore.

At Young Britannia this week, we've put together a step by step guide on how to dress for Winter. This week we're focusing on our extremely cosy Queen's Head Sweatshirt. The perfect item for staying warm, comfortable and stylish during the colder months.

1. Winter is all about layering. The more layers, the better. Why not pop a long t-shirt or shirt under your sweatshirts for extra warmth and to add a little extra something to an outfit? If it's still a bit nippy, add in a jacket and scarf and you'll definitely be good to go.

2. Winter colours are my favourite thing about Winter fashion. I love forest green and wine red during Winter but you can also never go wrong with black.

3. Footwear during Winter can make or break you. Nobody wants cold and soggy feet so we recommend a comfy pair of boots that will also see you through numerous late night Christmas shopping trips.

4. A huge positive about Winter fashion is normally its 10x more comfy than any other season. The high street is full of joggers and oversized tees.. you'd be a fool not to take advantage!

5. Grey is everywhere this season, mixed with colours or keeping it monochrome.. it's a winner every time.

6. Mixing textures is a great way to add something extra to an outfit. Knitted jumpers under leather jackets is just a prime example of how well this works.

..And of course, not forgetting the men. Our sweatshirts are unisex and look great on both ladies and lads!

7. Jeans are always a Winter staple. They match everything and most shoes look great with them.

8. Parker coats are easily a highlight of Winter… they look great over most outfits and have to be the closest equivalent to wrapping your duvet around you and wearing that out.

Stay tuned for part 2 of our Winter style guide. If there is anything you would like us to style up for you, let us know by tweeting us @YoungBritannia!

Have a good evening!

Hat season

There's something about a cold evening, when the sun sets before it even reaches 5pm and the mornings are filled with frost. At Young Britannia, we love being able to add accessories to an outfit that are not only weather practical but also on trend. Beanies are timeless! Especially in a classic colour like black, which is always undoubtably on trend every year.
Here's a snap of our intern (who's also a fashion blogger) wearing our lion head bobble hat with a red tartan jacket. We want to know how you're styling your YB hats? Tweet or Instagram (@YoungBritannia) us using the hashtag #YoungBritStyle and we may just feature our favourites on this blog space right here!

*Black lion head beanie available for £14.99 on Young Britannia.

HOW WE WEAR IT #2

Last week you saw the first instalment of our blog series 'How we wear it', which showed you how our social media intern styles up the YB red beanie. This week we look at our CEO, Danielle and how she styles up her favourite Young Britannia garments.
Danielle loves our Sterling Crop Tops and always finds herself popping them on for an easy, yet instantly stylish look. As Danielle's style shows, the crops can be easily dressed up or down for any look. They can be paired with some high waisted jeans and a pair of trainers for the perfect casual look, or you can switch up the denim for a midi skirt for a more sophisticated vibe.

"I have a varied style, but it's mainly smart classic.. with an edge!". We think Danielle has summed up her stylish yet edgy style perfectly. What do you think?

Don't forget to follow us on Twitter and Instagram for daily updates!

How we wear it #1

It's all well and good looking at an item of clothing you like but often its difficult to decide on how to wear it. That's why we've decided to start a series of blog posts focusing on how we wear our current favourite Young Britannia garms.
Each week a member of the Young Britannia team will be showing you how they style up their current picks. As hat season is officially here, our social media gal Briley is showing us how she styles up the red bobble lion beanie

"My style is quite grungy and most of my wardrobe is black. However, I do like to add pops of colour with lipstick and accessories. That's why I'm loving this red bobble hat. It adds just a little something extra to a normal outfit. I think it looks great with a pair of ripped jeans and an oversized jumper for the ultimate Autumn look!"

If you'd like to show us how you're styling Young Britannia, email your ideas to info@youngbritannia.com and you may be in with the chance of featuring right here, on our blog!
